Alberto (middle) with the ATAX team during his time as Growth Director
In mid-August 2025, I started building Conecta from my apartment in Tijuana, where I've lived for the last three years.
Before that, I'd spent a decade in the tax industry — first at Latino Tax Pro, where I worked my way across departments and eventually became CRO (second to the CEO). During that time I helped more than 30,000 tax professionals with CE requirements, launched tax schools, and improved operations. In 2022 I joined ATAX under John Hewitt as Growth Director, supporting 100+ tax offices nationwide.
Conecta began by accident. At ATAX I needed to text hundreds of San Diego leads — but the tool I had only sent from a Virginia number. I didn't want to text San Diego with a Virginia caller ID.
I looked for alternatives. Everything was overpriced or took forever to set up, so I built my own.
I showed friends and colleagues. They asked to use it. Little by little, that prototype became Conecta.
My years at Latino Tax Pro and ATAX made the gap obvious: Latino tax pros need a bilingual, affordable, all-in-one platform that actually connects marketing with client management — without duct-taping five tools together with Zapier.
Today Conecta serves ~150 users who collectively manage ~18,000 contacts. Our promise is simple: no nickel-and-diming on user limits, storage, or SMS credits — everything included at one price.
Looking ahead, the goal is $1M ARR, 500 offices, and 50 national white-label partners. Conecta was built to make the business side simple, so tax pros can focus on serving clients and growing, sin complicaciones.

Conecta exists to bridge the gap between traditional tax practice management and modern, bilingual marketing tools. We believe that Latino tax professionals deserve access to the same powerful technology that larger firms use, but at a price they can actually afford.
Our mission is simple: eliminate the complexity of managing multiple tools, remove the nickel-and-diming pricing models, and provide everything a tax professional needs to grow their practice in one unified platform—available in both English and Spanish.
